We are just over a month away from 2026, and it’s so interesting how parents are shifting toward names that feel more meaningful and less trendy.
BabyCenter (which I used on the reg when I was pregnant) says a lot of people are leaning into nature-inspired names like Sage, Ivy, Rowan, and Wren.
Plus heritage or vintage names like Eleanor, Theodore, and Matilda that feel timeless instead of “of the moment.”
They’re also seeing parents move away from names tied to big, flashy pop culture moments and instead choosing ones that feel calm, grounded, or gender neutral, like Avery, Quinn, and River.
Another big trend is this mix of old-meets-new: classic revival names like Arthur, Florence, and Jasper are coming back, while multicultural names like Kai, Mateo, Luna, and Santiago continue climbing because parents want names that reflect identity and diversity.
Softer, more poetic names are having a moment too... like Elodie and Juniper.
The whole vibe is that parents want names that will still feel good in ten years, not something that screams a specific trend from 2025 like Wednesday or Kelce.
