Fair or not fair??? Our LA football teams—the Chargers and the Rams—will travel more than any other team!
The Chargers are leading the pack, traveling a whopping 37,000 miles over their schedule. That's like circling the Earth one and a half times!
Not far behind, the Rams will be close to 35,000 miles.
Now, let's put that into perspective. The Cincinnati Bengals are only traveling about 8,000 miles this season—the least in the league.
Nearly 30,000 miles less than our Chargers! Call me crazy, but how is that fair?
But it's not just about the miles. The logistics behind these trips are insane.
Packing for a game takes a whole week. Each player's bag weighs about 18 pounds, and with at least 53 players, that's nearly a ton of gear.
Add in practice squad players and other equipment, and you're looking at transporting up to 20,000 pounds for cold-weather games.
Once they land, it takes up to three hours just to unload and set up at the stadium. I guess I never really thought about all that went into travel...
So, next time you see the Chargers or Rams on TV, remember—they're not just playing football; they're mastering the art of travel logistics.
Let's hope all this jet-setting translates to some epic wins on the road!
