What are your exercise plans this week? Maybe squeeze in a quick backwards walk on the treadmill or elliptical!

Yes, these “retro walks” are all the rage because they are proving to be super beneficial to your overall health! So, add some backwards motion to your day.

Quite a few studies have been done on the potential benefits of retro walking.

30 minutes a day can increase your balance and walking pace. I don’t know about you but that seems like a long time. I would have to work up to that!

But I guess when you walk or run normal…that’s hamstring-dominant movement…if you’re walking backwards, it’s a role reversal.

You’re working different muscles, which is always beneficial, plus gaining strength.

Retro movement is hardly a new idea. but for whatever reason, it’s gaining popularity now!
