Do You Know About The Disney Character Hug Rule? It's The Sweetest Thing!

This is going around social media right now…and it just warms my heart.

One of the biggest thrills about being a kid at Disneyland…is meeting Mickey…or Minnie…or Snow White…or Buzz Lightyear… there are so many Disney characters walking through the park.

Well, there is a rule for the characters as they walk around the park. The rule goes all the way back to Walt Disney himself. It’s called “The Hug Rule”.

The Hug Rule…is that characters may never let go of a hug first. The child may hug as long as they want. Why? Walt said “You never know how much that child may need that hug.”

So this went viral…and lots of moms commented on it with stories like…

• "My daughter hugged Snow White for 4 full minutes…we were crying…"
• "Cinderella hugged my son for 3 minutes and just rubbed his back the whole time."
• "Minnie hugged my daughter for over 2 minutes and when I went to get her…Minnie waved me off."

I’m going to start this rule with my kids…
