These bottom of the foot tattoos are surprisingly chic and more popular than you think!

Vintage Barbie dolls of 1960s fame all had the word "JAPAN" stamped across the bottom of their right foot. It was just a nod to manufacturing.

Now, thanks to the surge in interest around the Barbicore aesthetic the latest trend blowing up on Instagram is sole tattoos.

The tattoo is etched along the arch in the space between your heel and the ball of your foot and are east to hide with shoes!

Cara Delevingne has not one but two sole tattoos: the first reads "Bacon" on one foot and "Made in England" on the other.

That is actually the most popular design - the "Made in [Insert Country Here]" format," at the bottom of your foot.

And just like in Toy Story where wood has his owner Andy's name tattooed on the boot of his shoe, people are have that on their foot or put another name.

The soles of your feet, it seems, serve as a surprisingly versatile canvas no matter your style or mood!

Other popular sole foot tattoos are balloons, names, lines, matching initials, birth year, animals, county your from, and flowers.

I bet getting a tattoo on the sole of your foot is also difficult if you get ticklish feet.

What do you think about this idea?
