Is Miley Cyrus' Song "Flowers" A Direct Response To A Bruno Mars Song???

We have been playing Miley’s new single “Flowers” on repeat since it came out about 2 weeks ago.

Personally, I can’t get enough of it! It’s all over everyone’s socials and breaking like every streaming record!

We all know the fan theories about how it’s about her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth…etc.

But one fan pointed out that Flowers seems to be a direct response to Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man”.

…which fans think it’s a song Liam once dedicated to Miley.

So, this is what happens when you mash up the two songs.

Bruno’s song goes like this: “I should have bought you flowers, And held your hand / Should have gave you all my hours, When I had the chance / Take you to every party ’cause all you wanted to do was dance / Now my baby’s dancing, But she’s dancing with another man.”

It sounds very familiar to Miley’s lyrics: “I can buy myself flowers, Write my name in the sand / Talk to myself for hours, Say things you don’t understand / I can take myself dancing, And I can hold my own hand / Yeah, I can love me better than you can.”

Direct response to Bruno’s song or not, FLOWERS is 100% Fire!

And we are here for all things Miley! And patiently waiting for the arrival of her album, Endless Summer Vacation, which is set to release on March 10th!
