It was a great week for Bridgerton! And for Bridgerton fans!

The Netflix romantic dramagot 12 nominations at the 2021 Emmys, including for best drama and lead actor Regé-Jean Page (Who BTW won’t be returning for season 2, I knowwww, I know.)

We fans of course are super bummed that he’s not coming back... but it’s no hard feelings with the rest of his cast mates who say it was a privilege to even work with him and are happy for him and his future endeavors... They have been quoted saying, “he will always be our Duke."

Page may not be a part of season two, but there's still a whole lot to look forward to! The second season will follow as Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey, as he meets his match in Kate Sharma, played by newcomer Simone Ashley. And we were juuuust give some deets on the upcoming season!

One of the showrunners says after seeing the first couple episodes, we will be shocked and won’t be ready for what’s to come... They said it's everything we loved so much about the first season, but just more.

Anthony and Kate’s chemistry is "magnetic."

Apparently, we won’t be able to take our eyes off of them when they're together on screen and that we will be able to feel their chemistry through our TV!

No word yet on when season 2 comes out but if you need to catch up, Bridgerton season 1 is now streaming on Netflix. And if you haven't watched it, I highly suggest you do!

The chemistry of the cast is sooo good, and it sounds like we will be getting more of that in season 2. Once we get the date for when season 2 is going to come out, I'm going to plan on re-watching season 1 ahead of time to be ready. Who's with me??
