Twitter Wonders What Zayn Will Do With His Tattoo Of Gigi's Eyes

Young adult hearts all over the world broke yesterday when, after just a day of speculation, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik confirmed they had broken up after 2 years of dating.

Gigi and Zayn each separately released a statement on social media (because otherwise, let's face it, they would be stuck in an "are they or aren't they" news cycle) and, honestly, the statements made me a little sad!

Gigi said:

"I'm forever grateful for the love, time, and life lessons that Z and I shared... As for the future, whatever's meant to be will always be."

I like her outlook on what's to come! A break up isn't the end of the world, because you wouldn't be breaking up if you were truly meant to be together!

And Zayn wrote:

"I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend. She is such an incredible soul... we wish this news could have come from us first."

Well, that's a bummer.

But you better hope that Zayn still has respect and adoration for Gigi... because that he recently got a large tattoo of her eyes on his chest.

And Twitter is totally freaking out over what he is going to do about that tattoo now that they are not longer together.

Here is a boomerang Gigi posted of Zayn where you can see the eyes smack dab in the middle of his chest:

And here are the very valid concerns and comments Twitter has on the whole 'having a tattoo of your ex permanently on your body' thing:

I would like to say Zayn has probably learned his lesson, but I also think he probably hasn't. Because he already had a tattoo of his ex fiance Perrie Edwards that he had to cover up when they broke up and then did it again with Gigi.

So. There's that!

Good luck to both Gigi and Zayn, I can't imagine breaking up in the public eye is an easy thing to do.
