"Superman" soars to the top of the box office with a $122 million debut weekend, ranking as the year's third-largest opening after "A Minecraft Movie" and "Lilo & Stitch." The film, part of the relaunched DC Universe, follows the Man of Steel as he battles Lex Luthor to prove his heroism. With positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth, the movie aims to surpass the success of its predecessor, "Man of Steel." Meanwhile, other films like "Jurassic World Rebirth" and "F1: The Movie" continue to perform well at the box office, while Disney's "Elio" struggles to recoup its $150 million budget.
It was so cool seeing the Cincinnati Union Terminal on the big screen while actually being there! The movie is amazing. Multiple times throughout I felt like a kid watching the original 1978 film. Partly because actors David Corenswet (Superman) and Rachel Brosnahan (Louis Lane) reminded me of Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder. The casting for this film is spot on and the acting is excellent. Nicholas Hoult steals the show in my opinion portraying villian Lex Luthor. Wonderful story with memorable dialogue and lots of action. I give Superman an A+.
Did you know that Cincinnati's own Foxy Shazam is in the movie? They portray Superman's favorite band in the movie! Details below...
