A writer for Rolling Stone says a recent interview with Kid Rock quickly went off the rails after the performer got “belligerently” drunk and began waving a gun around.
David Peisner says Rock, whose real name is Bob Ritchie, switched from drinking white wine to bourbon and Coke halfway through the sit-down – and promptly became aggressive. “I got a f***ing gun right here if I need it!” Rock yelled as he waved a gun in Peisner’s face. “I got them everywhere!” He went on to call the journalist a “college snowflake” and challenged him to “take a shot” at him, Peisner recalls.
In spite of Rock’s aggression, he eventually agreed to drive Peisner back to his car. While the two were on their way there, Peisner says, Rock turned to him and asked if he’d do him a favor. “Just write the most horrific article about me,” Rock said. “Do it. It helps me.”
