Staind is releasing their first new album in 12 years this September, titled Confessions of the Fallen, and guitarist Mike Mushok is thrilled.
Mushok said in a new interview he was hopeful the band would make new music again, even though singer Aaron Lewis pursued a solo country career.
“He had to show the country people, 'I'm a country guy.' And I was able to go off and do a few other things, which was great — play with some really great people, musicians,” said Mushok. “Thankfully, I was able to do that. That being said, I'm very thankful that we're back together and doing this. Because this is really kind of what I started with Aaron — over 28 years ago.”
Staind will hit the road with Godsmack on a co-headlining tour this July.
