One NY Post story is gaining tons of attention after revealing that rich men in the Hamptons are getting vasectomies so the "gold digging women" they hook up with don't have their babies. Yes, this was a story in the New York Post. The article highlights a seasonal Hampton resident, Scott, who describes himself has being in his 30's and "won’t have any reservations about hooking up with women he hardly knows."
Scott supposedly "beds up to 10 different women per summer and estimates that 20 percent of the single ladies he encounters are looking to trap a rich guy with a baby.” Interesting statistics there.
The article then introduces us to Matt, 41, who got his vasectomy 4 years ago in May to ensure his safety in the summer months. The doctor referenced in the article, Dr. David Shusterman, says these men “don’t want to be in the situation of being accused of fathering an unwanted baby.”
Whether this article is real or not, it certainly sheds some light on other ways of life in the Hamptons that "Gossip Girl" failed to mention.
