In the latest iPhone software update, Apple added a brand new feature that many people haven't noticed. Chaim Gartenberg at The Verge calls it the "secret button" on the back of your iPhone. The way it works is the back tap feature turns the "entire back of your iPhone into a giant touch-sensitive button that you can double or triple tap to trigger specific functions on your phone." You'll be able to activate the function to whatever you want it to like screenshots. The main purpose of it is to turn on accessibility features like VoiceOver, but users found out that your can use it for whatever you want. This feature was added in the iOS 14 update and works on these iPhone models: iPhone 8, 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max.
You can activate this "secret button" by going to the Accessibility menu in the Settings page. Then you click on "touch," scroll to the bottom, click "Back Tap," and you can decide if you want to make your preference double tap or triple tap and what function you want it to do.
