JoAnn Fabrics Is Giving Away Free Supplies So People Can Make Masks!

As the spread of coronavirus is getting worse, doctors and nurses are running low on supplies especially N95 masks, which protect against virus transmissions. Some medical workers have resulted to sanitizing and reusing their masks, while others are using scarves and bandanas to protect their faces. This is why JoAnn Fabrics is finding a way so that everyone can help the healthcare workers on the front lines during this pandemic. The fabric store is giving away free kits so anyone can make masks for doctors, nurses, and other first responders. You'll be able to pick up the ready-made kits curbside at your local JoAnn Fabrics and once you finish making them, you can drop off the completed masks back at the store. They will be donated and distributed to local hospitals. If you want to participate, but don't want to pick up the kit from the store, you can use JoAnn’s Ship-to-Home option. You'll be able to find tutorials and instructions online at joann.com/maketogive.

While following the CDC guidelines for social distancing and local restrictions, JoAnn Fabrics is also opening classrooms in stores to any who wants to help make these essential items. You'll have access to sewing machines and materials. All of the stores that remain open will serve as “collection points” for those making the masks in their homes.
