WWE Deemed "Essential Business" In The State Of Florida

WWE has been deemed an "essential business" by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings was asked about it during a press conference on Monday and said, "Initially there was a review that was done and they were not initially deemed an essential business. With some conversation with the governor's office regarding the governor's order they were deemed an essential business and so, therefore, they were allowed to remain open." (video below)

According to ESPN, the decision was outlined in a memo on April 9th by the Governor.

The WWE is now allowed to resume doing live television shows from its Orlando training facility, and a rep told TMZ, "We believe it is now more important than ever to provide people with a diversion from these hard times."
