In Leesburg, Virginia, once the home of Bunker Sports Cafe and the site of many amazing evenings of mirth and merriment for myself and others (RIP, PeteyPop) back when we were on the 99.5 FM station in the DC area, there is a restaurant.
A Tex-Mex restaurant called Cocina on Market, and the chef there, Tobias Podovano, seems to be on to something with a unique offering:
Cicada Tacos.
Podovano says the tacos - which feature the protein-packed punch of the CICADA which is emerging from the ground by the billions along the East Coast of the United States - taste similar to SHRIMP TACOS because if cooked properly, the CICADAS taste, well, like SHRIMP.
So, if you are keeping count at home... we've got CICADA CHOCOLATES. Now we've got CICADA TACOS.
