BACK TO SCHOOL!
Maryland's Governor, Larry Hogan, shared the news today which says in-person learning - aka BACK TO SCHOOL learning - will be available for all students this fall.
The Maryland State Board of Education mandated this rule today in a UNANIMOUS vote during a meeting earlier this afternoon. The move means school doors will be thrown open for all students to return to 'normal' learning this fall.
Hogan, who has been ALL ABOUT THESE KIDS GETTING BACK TO SCHOOL since last August, was all fired up about this news.
"Families and students deserve the certainty that all school systems will return to full in-person learning," Hogan said in a statement. "To address the academic and emotional toll of prolonged online instruction, today's vote is an important step toward getting things back to normal."
Science shows having kids/students out of school can do more harm - mentally and physically - than good, hence the overwhelming move to get children back into classrooms.
