Who says working at home is more relaxing than working in the office? Sure, remote workers don’t have to deal with traffic, or shared microwave smells, but they do have to deal with all their own tech issues. And according to a new study, people working from home deserve a cut of the company budget because they averaged 230 tech issues over the past year. That’s an average of four a week.
People have had it with their home office tech as proven by researchers finding the top five struggles remote workers are having are all IT related. The number one thing they hate is using their personal computer for work, followed by software crashes, and in a close third, not having the right equipment or software to do their job. No wonder everyone is muted on Zoom. They don’t want us to hear them screaming at their laptop.
This also explains why the number one thing people miss about the office is having access to the programs and tech they need to work. But despite wanting to throw their computer out of the window, 69% percent of the study said they’d much rather stay at home than return to the office.
