Tired of your relationships dying on the vine? The solution is simple. You need to ask better questions on your dates.
But as you’ve read while frantically Googling “Good First Date Question,” not all of them are created equal. So here are some tips on crafting the perfect first-date questions.
● Novel Questions. It’s important to remember that your new match isn’t new to dating and they’re probably tired of having the same conversation with everyone they meet online. This is your opportunity to knock them off their feet with questions that surprise them. Skip the “what’s your favorite color” and jump right into “what’s your favorite thing in the world to do?” or “what’s your idea of the perfect first date?” That last one will give you some ideas for date number two.
● Clickbait Questions. We all say we hate clickbait articles online but we can’t help from clicking them. Your questions should be equally irresistible and make your date want to lean in and really engage with you. So steal the clickbait model and ask them things like “which one of the Friends cast members are you most like?” or “what’s the last movie that made you laugh out loud?”
● Ask More Questions. While quality is a factor on dates, so is quantity. Research shows that people don’t ask enough questions on dates to build a deep connection. So do your homework and come prepared to ask them enough questions to fill a three-part podcast series. Check out more types of questions you should be asking on dates HERE.
