Over the weekend, two were arrested near Laredo with $459,000 worth of marijuana and cocaine.
According to Houston Chronicle, Border Patrol agents stopped a truck at a checkpoint on U.S. Highway 59 on Sunday, March 5, for an inspection. While the agents looked through the truck, they noticed buckets of grease in the back which turned out to have eight bundles of marijuana and cocaine wrapped up inside.
The cocaine weighed in at 12.6 pounds, while the marijuana tipped the scales at 67 pounds, Border Patrol said in a statement.
