And ... scene ...It was announced this week that all 536 Regal Cinema theaters in the U.S. will temporarily shut down, starting on Thursday, October 8th. Regal is the second-largest movie chain in the country. (ABC News)

Speaking of scary houses …The house from the movie Silence of the Lambs is for sale. Yep, Buffalo Bill’s home from the movie can now be yours – and just in time for Halloween. The four-bedroom farmhouse is located in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh and has an asking price of $298,500. (Travel & Leisure)
Does it feel like you're living in a horror movie? …A new survey found that more than 66% of respondents said they feel like they’re living in a horror movie in 2020. Even so, the same percentage said watching a scary movie was a fun escape from reality.

No one-night stands for Halloween …Airbnb has announced that it will not be doing one-night rentals over Halloween weekend. This means you can’t rent a one-night stay on either Friday, October 30th or Saturday, October 31st. This is an effort to prevent Halloween parties that could become coronavirus super-spreader events. You can still rent homes over Halloween weekend – but you’ll have to book a two-night minimum -- and absolutely no parties allowed. (Business Insider)
