Randoms-Nat'l Cheeseburger & POW/MIA Day, TikTok Trend has Dentists Worried

Wanna feel old? American Girl just added a new doll to their historical collection. The adorable Courtney Moore hails from the era of crimped hair and acid washed jeans -- that ancient period otherwise known as 1986. The press release announcing her debut -- just in time for the holiday shopping season -- described her as “a total '80s girl whose big, bright and bold ideas inspire today's girls to find their inner hero to accomplish great things." Considering the ‘80s are trending with everything from clothes to TV shows -- and, believe it or not, the reincarnation of cassette tapes-- it makes sense that Courtney was added to the collection. And the best part about it is that since the '80s were the height of video games and arcades, American Girl has teamed up with the Girls Who Code organization to help inspire young girls to explore technology and computer sciences. "I think virtual will become a piece of every wedding in the future, even long past this pandemic," said Samie Roberts, co-founder wedding streaming service LoveStream. "You always have a grandparent who isn't able to make it, or a pregnant friend, or any of those things. I think that now that there's a way to have a virtual piece of a wedding, it will become more of the norm." (Insider)

4 out of 5 dentists are worried …Seems the latest TikTok trend has people shaving down their uneven teeth – with a nail file. Naturally, dentists are warning against this – saying they could be permanently damaging their teeth by destroying the enamel, causing tooth sensitivity and even tooth loss. "It's not the same as filing your fingernails. If you file your fingernails today, they'll grow back tomorrow," said Texas-based dentist Dr. Chad Evans. "Our teeth are permanent." (Insider)
