How real is the "Quarantine 15"? According to a new survey by YouGov and Chipotle, the weight gain -- though maybe not as high as 15 pounds -- is probably a thing. The survey found that over a third of Americans said they are struggling to maintain a healthy lifestyle right now. Nearly 50% of respondents said they haven’t been exercising regularly and 36% say they are eating way more junk food than before. (The Takeout)
Are you ready to go back to malls and department stores? Macy’s announced that they plan to open 68 of their 775 brick and mortar stores this Monday and an additional 50 stores by May 11th. The newly opened stores will have limited hours (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.), social distancing will be observed, and all employees will have daily temperature checks and must wear masks. In addition, fitting rooms will have limited capacity, and all tried-on clothes and returned items will be held for 24 hours before being re-racked. The store openings are in states that have loosened their lockdown restrictions, and the remaining stores will follow state government regulations for reopening. (CNBC)
