Not only would PETA have a robot groundhog looking for its shadow on Sunday, the group would have an ad in the Super Bowl.
The animal-rights group says it tried to get a 30-second spot in the Big Game to try to convince people to stop using animal products. The ad would have shown cartoon creatures taking a Kaepernick-like knee as the national anthem plays.
PETA says it submitted the ad well in advance and was told FOX was reviewing it, but that the network has been radio silent since January 3rd. The group claims that the NFL pressured FOX into rejecting the spot.
Neither FOX nor the NFL has made any public comment. (TMZ)
