Open water swimmers battle cold temps and shark-infested waters. Ultra-marathon runners push their bodies to the limit to run upwards of 100 miles. IronMen and Women do triathlons consisting of 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride and a marathon ( 26.22 miles). Solo climbers scale mountains without any safety rope or form of protection. These feats are definitely not for the average exerciser. Or the average person, frankly.

House guest pet peeves …According to a new survey, people get most annoyed by house guests when they ask for the WiFi password immediately after showing up. The survey found that waiting just 30 minutes makes a big difference. Other notable pet peeves include:

  • shoes on the sofa
  • not flushing the toilet
  • swearing
  • not washing your hands
  • talking about politics or religion
  • leaving dirty dishes lying around (The Sun)

The incredibly shrinking plane seat …Seats are smaller, there’s a lot less leg room … and now Delta is testing seats that don’t recline as much on some of its planes. On these planes, the seats in coach will go from reclining 4 inches to reclining 2 inches. And in first class, they’ll go from 5.4 inches to 3.5 inches. A spokesman for the airline says the move is about “protecting customers’ personal space.”Thoughts?(Market Watch)
