Does your boss have any idea what you do all day? A new survey found that 1 in 3 workers feel their managers have absolutely no idea what they do every day, and one-third of employees feel their hard work goes unnoticed and unappreciated. More survey findings: 41 percent think their boss wouldn’t be able to do one day of work in their jobs and 33 percent believe their boss is way overpaid for the work they do. (Unilad)
Speaking of work … Here’s more proof that meetings are a waste of time … A new study found that the average employee wastes 13 working days a year in “unproductive” meetings. The study found that the typical employee spends 187 hours -- roughly of 23 days a year -- in meetings. According to employees, 56 percent of those meetings are a waste of time. 66 percent of respondents admitted that they make excuses -- even calling in sick -- in order to avoid meetings. And for the laziest of us, Heinz is now introducing Mayochup ... a combination of mayo and ketchup. The new product will be available on Amazon and at Walmart very soon. Heinz, of course, claims Mayochup offers the perfect balance of both ketchup and mayo so you don’t have to mix up your own sauce. But you have to wonder if we’ve really reached this level of laziness when we have to buy ketchup and mayo pre-mixed because it takes too much time to do it ourselves … (Delish)
Happy owners, happy dogs … Do you have a well-behaved dog? You’re probably a happy, relaxed person. According to a new study, dog owners with high levels of stress don’t have a relaxed relationship with their pets. This, of course, increases the anxiety in the dogs – causing them to act out. On the other hand, happy people enjoy their time with their dogs, and those dogs respond by being happier and more well-behaved. (Psychology Today)
