Wanna lose an easy five pounds while at work? Just get off your butt. New research from the MayoClinic found that standing at your desk can actually burn calories. Specifically, simply standing at your desk rather than sitting burns 0.15 more calories per minute. If you stand for six hours that's 54 calories burned for a 143-pound adult. In a year, that's 5.5 pounds. In four years that's 22 pounds. Time for a standing desk. (Moneyish)
