On the other hand, when men offer similar suggestions and opinions, they are rewarded. "It comes down to the legitimacy of men versus women in the workplace," said study author Elizabeth McClean, an assistant professor at the University of Arizona. In fact, our brainwaves actually start to sync with those around us, causing us to mimic their behavior. Professor Moran Cerf of Northwestern University says, "… Just being next to certain people actually aligns your brain with them. This means the people you hang out with actually have an impact on your engagement with reality beyond what you can explain. All about timing ... If you want to be more successful in your job hunt, you need to make sure you send your resume at the right time. A recent study by TalentWorks found that applications received after 7:30 p.m. were the least likely to get attention for hiring managers.
