TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
- T-Pain says the takeaway here is "You can't hold onto a mistake just because you spent a long time making it.”
- This kind of honesty is refreshing. Especially in an industry where people lie every single day to your face.
- It would have been more embarrassing for him to stick with the plan.
- Whatever happened to "the show must go on"?
- Most of us didn't even realize T-Pain was going on tour.
- It was easier a few months back when he had that Masked Singer momentum.
T-Pain has canceled his upcoming tour, and is making no secret of the reason why.
He planned to hit the road for a set of dates called the1UP DLC Tour. But according to Pain, after arrangements were made last month, corners got cut and “production got missing.” He admits to not being as hands-on as he should have been, assuming that the momentum of the first 1UP Tour would help him coast through this one.
When faced with the choice of playing to half-filled venues, T-Pain scrapped the dates. He says his people told him to lie about the reason why, citing a need for personal time or something similar, but he chose to keep it 100 instead.
“We [effed] up. I’m gonna keep it real with y’all. Most artists lie. Whenever concerts get canceled or tours get canceled, it’s for low ticket sales.” T-Pain told his followers that ticket buyers will be "fully refunded."
