An accused Russian spy will stay behind bars until her trial. During a hearing today, a federal judge in Washington, DC ruled that Maria Butina is still a flight risk. Butina is accused of working as an undercover agent for the Russian government. At the hearing, a gag order was also issued blocking the defense from speaking to the media about the case. The judge also chided prosecutors after they retracted an accusation that Butina offered to trade sex for a job. The government admitted that text messages purportedly showing the proposition were actually jokes.
