Steve Bannon Calls New York Times Op-Ed A "Coup"

 

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon is characterizing a critical New York Times op-ed allegedly penned by a senior Trump administration official is a "coup."  Speaking with Reuters, Bannon called the op-ed a "direct attack" on U.S. institutions.  The anonymous op-ed author claimed to be part of a resistance within the White House working against some of President Trump's worst impulses.  The writer also spoke out against what the writer calls Trump's "amorality" claiming the Presidents is not tethered to any sort of basic ethics.
