Mariah Carey is heading to Italy to help open the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
The Queen of Christmas announced on Monday, December 15, that she will perform at the Milano Cortina 2026 opening ceremony at the San Siro Stadium in Milan. In a video announcement posted to Instagram, Carey appeared in a stunning red dress and a diamond necklace to hype up her upcoming performance during the opening ceremony.
"Get ready for Milano Cortina 2026," Carey says in the video. "See you at the Stadio San Siro on the 6th of February for the Olympic opening ceremony. Ci vediamo a Milano!"
The 2026 Winter Olympics Games are taking place in northern Italy in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. Following the opening ceremony on February 6, the Olympic games, including skiing, skating, hockey, ice hockey and bobsledding, will go down over the course of two weeks and will conclude on February 22.
Mariah Carey won't be the only major celebrity who will make headlines at the Winter Games in Italy. Snoop Dogg will also make history as the first-ever honorary coach of Team USA. As part of his duties, he will support Team USA on and off the field. He will also return as a correspondent for NBC Sports.
“Team USA athletes are the real stars—I’m just here to cheer, uplift and maybe drop a little wisdom from the sidelines,” Coach Snoop said. “This team represents the best of what sport can be: talent, heart and hustle," he added. "If I can bring a little more love and motivation to that, that’s a win for me.”
