Drake is just months away from dropping his anticipated solo album, at least that's what his friend Johnny Manziel thinks.
On Sunday, August 17, a video of Manziel discussing his friendship with the rapper made the rounds on social media. In the clip, the former NFL quarterback was asked if he knew any information about Drizzy's upcoming album. When asked about the release date, Manziel said it would arrive around the time of Drake's birthday, which is October 24.
"Soon, probably, around the end of October, maybe early November," Manziel said. "Birthday coming up. Coming back to Texas after that, I'm going to take him to a game this year."
Drake has not confirmed a release date for ICEMAN just yet. He's been teasing the album since last August. Since then, Drake has alluded to working on the project on several occasions including his recent performances overseas. He kicked things into high gear after he debuted his first "ICEMAN" episode last month. The hour-long episode featured the premiere of the album's first single, "What Did I Miss?", and a preview of another song from the project. He followed up with a second episode and debuted his latest collaboration with Central Cee, "Which One."
As of this report, Drake is actively working on the album. During a recent livestream with Adin Ross, xQc and PARTYNEXTDOOR, the Grammy Award-winning rapper shared that he's been recording night and day for the project.
“I'll stay up all night f**king recording for Iceman," Drake said while pointing to the microphone behind him. "They're having a full-blown party outside. I can hear people and having a street festival all day. I'll go out there. I'll f**king run out there. I'll turn up with them, do shots, come back— like, I just want a little, you know, I wanna feel it.”
Look out for Drake's ICEMAN album coming soon.
