Meghan Trainor has weighed in on the possibility of her replacing Katy Perry on American Idol after the "Firework" singer recently wrapped up her role on the show after seven seasons serving as a judge.

The "Mother" singer recently stopped by Entertainment Tonight with her brother, Ryan, and husband, Spy Kids actor Daryl Sabara, where she excitedly gave her "pitch" to be on the show, revealing it would be her "dream" when Sabara asked if she would be "interested" in being a judge on the long-running singing competition series.

"There's nothing I want more in life than to be a judge on American Idol. That is my ultimate bucket list dream come true. Please, please consider me on your show," she said, laughing. "Please American Idol! Please! I'm ready. Alright, yeah, I would love to."

Trainor isn't the only one who would love for her to get the job. Earlier this year, both American Idol host Ryan Seacrest and judge Luke Bryan said they would enjoy seeing the "To The Moon" singer join the fray after she appeared on the show as a coach.

The country superstar believes Trainor's "brand" of having fun would "certainly" fit in with the team, which also includes fellow judge Lionel Richie, while Seacrest praised her appearance on the show as "very good."

"Meghan is a super talent, too, and she's got a great sense of humor," he said. "She's fun and she's spontaneous."
