Carl Palmer Says "There Are No Plans" for Asia to Continue Right Now

After completing the Asia's touring obligation following the sudden death of bassist/singer John Wetton, the band has added no new live dates and it's not clear whether Asia is finished for good.

Founding drummer Carl Palmer says he and his band had a great time touring this summer with Journey, but no further dates have been scheduled with Wetton's chosen replacement Billy Sherwood

"So, we used Billy and we had a phenomenal time," he said during a recent interview with Billboard. "It was a great experience all 'round, and I'm pleased we did it. John would have loved to be on that tour, so I'm pleased we did it for him, anyway."

“I’m not saying it’s not going to happen," he said. "It’s a bit soon. There are no plans to carry on as we speak. That’s not to say it won’t happen; we just haven’t had time to talk about it and how we’ll do it.”

Palmer will be busy performing through the end of the year with his ELP Legacy project.
