According to CBS News, Netflix announced that they will be raising their prices for their subscription service for U.S. subscribers starting today.
"As we continue to invest in programming and deliver more value for our members, we will occasionally ask our members to pay a little more so that we can re-invest to further improve Netflix," the company said in a statement.
Here is what you can expect on the price changes for Netflix's different plans:
- Standard Plan with Ads is currently at $6.99/month and will rise to $7.99/month
- Standard Plan without Ads is currently $15.49/month and will rise to $17.99/month
- Premium Plan is currently $22.00/month and will rise to $24.99/month
- Adding an extra member is currently $7.99/month and that cost will rise to $8.99/month
