A New Roller Coaster Is Coming To Universal Studios Hollywood!

Universal Studios Hollywood is planning on creating a "massive new outdoor roller coaster" for the theme park.

According to KTLA 5, a theme park blogger named Alicia Stella had shared a screenshot of a "geotechnical study recently submitted by Universal Studios which indicates the ride will have a track that begins at the upper lot and goes over the Stairway Escalator descending toward the lower lot, and then back up again." The photo of the permit leaked on Twitter at the beginning of October and people believe that it could be a new ride themed after the "Fast and Furious" franchise. If the rumors are real, the ride could have cars that "drift" on the coaster track to feel like the movement of the cars in the film.

“When I saw the permit, I got excited because this was something that was only rumored but then to see the permit, it shows that they are testing to see whether this is possible,” Stella said.

When KTLA 5 reached out to the theme park, they said that they "don't comment on speculation." BUT this week the park announced that they will be closing the Animal Actors show, the Special Effects show and the Production Central Store will close on January 8, 2023 so they can "make way for a future attraction." How exciting if this really happens! What do you think of a roller coaster or even better yet a "Fast and Furious" themed roller coaster coming to Universal Studios Hollywood. For more, click here.
