I grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania. So I was raised a Hershey Bears fan. How cool that they made national news this week for breaking a world record!
Fans threw 100,000 teddy bears onto the ice after they scored their first goal of the game. Actually, it was 102,343 to be exact! That beat the previous record of 74,599...which was also theirs, by the way. The team has done a "Teddy Bear Toss" since 2001 and keep beating themselves! All of those stuffed animals were donated to various charities.
