Logic's moving performance of “1-800-273-8255” was one of the major highlights of Grammys night.
Assisted by Alessia Cara and Khalid, the rapper performed his hit single -- which is named after the National Suicide Prevention Hotline -- to bring a powerful message or two on the stage during music's biggest night. Not only was Logic accompanied by Cara and Khalid, but he also invited suicide survivors onstage, too.
The dozens of survivors rocked T-shirts with the hotline's number and the words “You are not alone” on them. These men and women were from all backgrounds, ages, shapes and sizes; and they all came together to show anyone going through tough issues that they were with all of them.
Before he left the stage, Logic made sure to show support for ending racism, reveal that he stands with the #MeToo movement and more.
The MC closed his performance: "Black is beautiful. Hate is ugly. Women are as precious as they are stronger than any man I have ever met. And onto them I say stand tall and crush all predators under the weight of your heart that is full of the love that they will never take away from you. Be not scared to use your voice especially in instances like these where you have the opportunity. Stand and fight for those who are not weak but have yet to discover the strength that the evil that this world has done its best to conceal. To all the beautiful countries filled with culture, diversity and thousands of years of history ... and lastly onto the half of those who fight for equality and a world that is not equal, not just and not ready for the change we are here to bring. I say onto you bring us your tired, your poor and every immigrant that seeks refuge. You are not s**tholes. For together we could build not just a better country, but a world that is destined to be united."
