But unlike with Joe Biden helping his son Hunter, it was in our national interest to withhold the aid and therefore Trump's right as president to do so. We give foreign aid not as charity, but for the benefit of both parties. Trump must play it straight with High Crimes and Misdemeanors and stop using outdated advertising tactics like calling everything "the best," and instead go on the offensive. It all comes down to how you read the July phone call transcript. Either Trump was making mafia-like threats or not threatening anything at all, but the media presumes ill intent.
