Not a single Democrat shows at Jerusalem embassy opening: CNN complains ‘non bi-partisan’

The United States officially relocated its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem today and recognized the holy city as the true capital of Israel. “We extend a hand in friendship to Israel, Palestinians and all their neighbors," said President Donald Trump in an opening ceremony speech, adding, “May there be peace."

Israel is celebrating President Trump's support, displaying signs that read, “Trump make Israel great" and “Thank you President Trump."

But CNN's headlines are calling President Trump's decision to move the US Embassy “highly controversial" and a “huge blow to Palestinians." They were also disturbed by the “non bi-partisan delegation" that attended the opening ceremony. It's true, the delegation was especially NON bi-partisan — as in not one single Democrat showed up for this historic event.

“Whose fault is that?" asked Glenn Beck on today's show. “Can you find a pro-Israel Democrat any more?"

Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Dean Heller (R-NV) and Mike Lee (R-UT) made the trip.

"That is a sad, sad manifestation, said Ted Cruz (R-TX) who was in attendance. "I'm gratified for those who come but I am saddened [by those who didn't]. Support for Israel shouldn't be a bipartisan issue."
"I am disappointed that not one Democrat came. What does that say?" said Lindsey Graham (R-SC). He added, "I think it was a mistake, because there's too much going on in this region."

CNN has made it a point to blame the Trump administration's decision to move the embassy for the clashes and protests along the Israeli-Gaza border. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, at least 52 Palestinians were killed and over 24 hundred injured by Israeli forces during protests at the Gaza border today.

"Of course we're getting those stats from the Palestinian Health Ministry," Glenn pointed out. "So it's like relying on Russian state media for Putin's election results. Yet, those number are reported as gospel. "
