It was announced on Thursday that UCLA will guarantee university housing for incoming freshman for up to four years and for transfer students for up to two years starting this fall.
According to ABC 7, UCLA will be opening up three new university-owned residences which are a 17-story high rise called Gayley Heights, Laurel apartments and Tipuana apartments. This will add 3,125 bed for undergraduates.
"We want our students to know that if they wish, they have a home with us when they're enrolled at UCLA. Secure housing plays a critical role in students' success," said Pete Angelis, UCLA's assistant vice chancellor for housing and hospitality. UCLA is also planning on expanding the graduate hosing.
