Oh how the tables have turned.
Simon Hayut, known as the "Tinder Swindler" Simon Leviev from the Netflix documentary, has been swindled himself. A woman who claimed that her boyfriend worked for Meta, parent company of Instagram, has scammed Simon out of $6,664.
According to Complex, the woman had sent Simon an Instagram DM saying that she could get Simon and his girlfriend verified on IG. Simon agreed and FaceTimed the woman's boyfriend where he was told that he could be verified and have fraud accounts deleted by sending two separate payments via Paypal to the man and his girlfriend.
Simon sent the money but his manager became suspicious and reached out to Meta to verify and ended up finding out that they just got scammed. After they got the payments, the couple disappeared by deleting their internet activity and Instagram accounts.
