In a curious case out of Russia, an anti-aircraft defense system is said to have shot down a mysterious object that has been described as a ball-shaped UFO. The strange incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday evening in the Rostov Oblast region which is in the southern part of the country. Detailing the event on the social media site Telegram, mayor Vasily Golubev revealed that a "small-size object in the shape of a ball" had been observed flying over the village of Sultan Sala and he explained that, since it was apparently not something that belonged to the Russian military, "the decision was taken to liquidate it."
