History was made this past weekend in Salem, Massachusetts with the unveiling of the World's Largest Ouija Board. The monstrous creation, dubbed 'Ouijazilla,' was the handiwork of Rick Schreck, vice president of the Talking Board Historical Society. Weighing a whopping 9,000 pounds, the hand-painted piece is comprised of 99 sheets of plywood and measures a staggering 3,168 square feet.
Sitting atop the enormous piece was a giant planchette, which weighs approximately 400 pounds and was designed so that it could be moved by just one person, making the massive talking board an actual working model. On hand at the festivities on Saturday were officials with Ripley's Believe it or Not, who certified that the creation had easily surpassed the previous record holder for World's Largest Ouija Board set in 2016.
