Yung Joc and his family are mourning the loss of his three young relatives who passed away in a fire.

On Friday, February 21, the Atlanta native announced that his nephew and two nieces died during a fire that broke out at an apartment building in southwest Atlanta last week. According to FOX 5, the kids were identified as Jhacari White (4), Xyla White (2), and 9-month-old Xhalia White. They were pulled out of the fire last Wednesday and were rushed to a nearby hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. None of the kids survived despite all life-saving efforts.

"I'm hurtin,'" Joc said during his radio show. "My family's hurtin'. My brother's hurtin'. His girlfriend is hurtin'."

The fire occurred at the Country Oaks Apartments in Atlanta last Wednesday afternoon. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, however, firefighters on the scene believe the fire may have started due to an electrical issue. Joc told his listeners he initially didn't speak out about it because he didn't want to overshadow the story about his deceased nieces and nephew. The seasoned rapper said he and his family are still in shock over their deaths, especially as they make final preparations.

I don't know if you understand the level of trauma this brings to our community and to the family," Joc said after he played a heartbreaking clip from a candlelight vigil for the victims.

We offer our deepest condolences to Yung Joc and his entire family.
