Kate Middleton attended a "rare" public outing on Sunday (July 14) and brought two special guests with her for the occasion. According to People, the Princess of Wales showed up to the Wimbledon men's singles final in London on Sunday (July 14) alongside daughter Charlotte, 9, and her sister Pippa Middleton, 40.
The royal mother-of-three considers the match to be "one of her favorite summer events" and was even named "patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club" in 2016. This is only Middleton's second public outing of the year (the first being the annual Trooping the Color Ceremony in June) as she continues to navigate life with cancer.
The Princess of Wales announced her diagnosis in March, months after undergoing abdominal surgery in December 2023.
"The surgery was successful however tests after the operation found that cancer had been present. My medical team then advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I'm now in the early stages of that treatment. This of course came as a huge shock and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family."
She continues to undergo treatment whilst enjoying private time with her family amid a few outings.
People mentioned that the crowd at this year's men's singles match rose to their feet and clapped as Middleton walked into the venue. The beloved royal, along with Princess Charlotte, also got to meet a few female players and participants before the game.
Middleton will present the winner a trophy following the match. See photos of the Princess of Wales and her loved ones at Wimbledon below!
