Jenna Dewan Files For Divorce From Channing Tatum

Jenna Dewan has officially filed for divorce from estranged husband Channing Tatum, TMZ has reported. Per papers obtained by the celebrity gossip outlet, Dewan registered the order on Friday (October 26) in Los Angeles, citing "irreconcilable differences."

The legal docs were submitted by noted divorce attorney Samantha Spector, and supposedly outlined the 37-year-old’s request for joint legal and physical custody of their daughter, Everly, 5. Dewan is also demanding spousal support from the Coach Carter actor.

Tatum has reportedly concurred to the terms of Dewan’s custody proposal, but he’s “seeking to block the court's ability” to give his estranged wife spousal assistance, according to TMZ.

We reported on the pair's separation in April when it was revealed the twosome — after nearly nine years as a married couple — had become distant for several months. "We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple," the duo announced in a statement. "There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible."

Despite the civility of their split, earlier reports implied Tatum had moved out of their shared home in Los Angeles months before the story broke. One source disclosed at the time: "This has been a long time coming. Like any marriage, they've had their ups and downs over the years but they really started to grow apart within the last year."

Dewan and Tatum met each other in 2006 while working on the dance flick, Step Up, and wed in July 2009.

It's since been rumored Tatum is now dating singer-songwriter Jessie J. Dewan has also moved on with a new boyfriend.
