Thom Yorke Shares New ‘Suspiria’ Track, Teases Upcoming Solo Album

Thom Yorke has spent the last year writing and recording the soundtrack for the upcoming fantasy/thriller Suspiria. The Radiohead frontman has shared a handful of songs from the film, including "Has Ended," and on Thursday (October 25) revealed another offering, "Unmade."

Like the other songs he's shared, this one is hypnotizing and cinematic. The music ebbs and flows as he sings in his bone-chilling falsetto.

Listen to the mesmerizing "Unmade" below, and look out for the Suspiria soundtrack to drop on Friday (October 26).

Aside from his Suspiria project, Yorke also recently released "Hands Off the Antarctic," a pulsating instrumental track that benefits Greenpeace.

As if this wasn't all enough work for one person, the singer/multi-instrumentalist also teased a new "political" solo album during a recent interview with El Mundo.

“I didn’t have any desire to make very political music, but everything I do tends to go that way anyway,” he explained, as translated by Pitchfork. “I’m trying to finish up a record with [producer] Nigel [Godrich], and it’s going in that direction. It’s something that’s always there.”

Yorke described the upcoming album as electronic, yet “different from what [he’s] done until now.”

“The method has been the opposite of depending upon the computer. It’s a strange process in which we construct a song in the studio, break it apart, we reconstruct it with a live mix and it turns out completely differently, and that’s when we record," he explained. "We have improvised many sounds and effects. It has been a very strange way of making a record, which is very exciting.”

The new album is set to come out sometime in 2019.
