Avicii's death shocked millions of his fans around the world. Since the tragedy, some of the late DJ's friends and family members have issued statements about his death. Now, Avicii's girlfriend is breaking her silence.
On Friday (April 27) night, Tereza Kačerová went on Instagram to share a few posts about her relationship with her now-late boyfriend. The two were together for quite a while. However, neither of them posted too much about their relationship because they wanted their bond to be as private as possible.
But, Kačerová wanted to be bid farewell to her love and show his fans exactly what Avicii meant to her, at the same time. In her first post, the girlfriend published a video of the late DJ spending intimate family time with her and her toddler son. "The brightest stars burn out the fastest," she captioned the clip. Then, Kačerová posted an extensive note to Avicii. In the letter, she explained that they planned to expand their family and already picked out baby names. The heartbroken girlfriend also admitted that they were going to go public with their relationship once she became pregnant with their first child.
The letter started: "Dear Tim, I’ve spent the last days waiting to wake up, waiting for someone to tell me that this is some sick joke, some awful mistake. I think it’s finally settling on me now that I will truly never get to see you again.”
She continued: “The first couple of days I harassed your friends (are they SURE IT’S REAL?!, demanding proof, WHERE ARE YOU NOW?!) and googled articles to read that they had it all wrong. Every time I saw ‘RIP’ and ‘Avicii’ together in one sentence or an end date to your life, I felt shock all over again.” Read it in its entirety below.
The final post from the late DJ's girlfriend showed her son crying for Avicii when he once left the house for a while. "Tim and Lucas had just stepped out. I️ feel like Luka now," she captioned it. "This was taken MONTHS ago. It is in no way a SAD video - Tim was only stepping out for a few hours. It’s a video that shows how purely and innocently my son LOVED Tim.
